Цель урока: формировать коммуникативную, социо-культурную компетенции.
Задачи урока: формировать УУД; совершенствовать лексико-грамматические навыки говорения ; совершенствовать навыки использования информационных технологий.
К концу урока учащиеся будут уметь:
Предметные УУД: использовать лексику в речи, применять в речи настоящее простое и настоящее длительные времена.
Метапредметные УУД: сопоставлять грамматические структуры английского языка.
Личностные УУД: выслушивать мнение одноклассников и аргументировать собственное.
Регулятивные УУД: совместно с учителем ставить цели урока и достигать их.
Коммуникативные УУД: выстраивать общение.
Тип урока: комбинированный
Формы работы учащихся: фронтальная, групповая, индивидуальная.
Оборудование: ИКТ (презентация),раздаточный материал, учебник для 7 класса Ю.А. Комаровой «Английский язык» (изд-во Русское Слово, 2017).

T. Hello everybody, dear students, guests. I am so happy to see you here and in my opinion we have an excellent opportunity to spend our time together and useful for ourselves.

T. So, what do you think, what are we going to speak about during our lesson?

T. Great, Ok, let’s have a conversation about our local district.
By the way, the fifth form’s student has a real serious task. He wants to take part in the world teenagers’ competition and he needs some help. This competition offers the lucky participants the chance to visit all the English speaking countries. So for the chance to win the tour he should to make a project about his hometown or the living place. Let’s listen to him (or read his essay).
Ss. Dream town. In Dream Town there is an old castle and a river, and there are a lot of fun things to do. There isn’t a beach but there is a big swimming pool with a fantastic water slide. And there are two cinemas and a big park. There isn’t a bus station but there is a railway station. There is a church and there are a lot of nice houses. There aren’t any supermarkets but there are a lot of shops.
T. What do you think about his idea? Do you like it? Why? Why not?
Ss. I think that his essay is nice, but we can help and make his project better.

V. Закрепление материала.
T. Well done. Now, students, there are some pictures, let’s try to describe them, what can you see here?
Ss. It’s a very nice place. There is a green park, where we can see a lot of flowers and trees. People can relax here. There is a beautiful building next to the park, maybe it’s a museum.
T. How can you relax in the park, please, make up some sentences, using present simple. What can you do in the museum?
Ss. People usually walk in the park, do sport, read books, watch after nature, listen to the bird’s songs, ride a bike. And in the museums they listen to the guide, enjoy different things and get knowledge about historical facts.

Ss. In my opinion, it’s a very busy place. There are a lot of cars. Here I can see the sport centre, where people usually do sport. There are supermarkets, where we buy food, and a restaurant, where we have tasty meal. There is also a hair salon behind the sport centre.

Ss. In this picture you can see a magic, wonderful place with great nature. In front of it you can see the river, there are a lot of trees behind it. The sun is shining, the children are happy.
T. As I understood you are very clever students. May I ask you some questions? What are you interested in?
Ss. I am interested in… (I am keen on …, My hobby is …) sport, art, literature, dance, fashion, gardening, foreign languages, reading, cooking, history…
T. Your interests are great! Now it’s time to complete our project. You have enough knowledge; know a lot of words, grammar. What would you like to see, to have in your living place?
Ss. First of all we need good knowledge, which we can get at school. The necessary part of our living place should be the school with our teachers. There are our friends at school. We always have great time here.
Ss. The sport centre, because I am keen on it. My friends also do it with great pleasure and it will be very nice to have it near our school. The students of our school are very sporty, our PE teachers are great.
Ss. As for me, I’d like to have a cinema in my living place. I don’t like the films and cartoons which are shown on TV. It will be better, if we can watch kind and useful films and cartoons in our local cinema.
Ss. I like cooking. Everyone knows that health is the most important treasure in our life. And what should we do to be healthy? Eat good fresh food in our local café or restaurant. There also will be a big supermarket, where we will buy fresh food.
Ss. We also need the concert hall. It can be as a leisure centre with different clubs. For example: drawing, knitting, playing chess, listening and reading poems, dancing and so on.
Ss. I am interested in gardening. I love flowers very much. I can’t imagine our district without park with trees, unique flowers. All of us can relax, enjoy there. Children can fly kites, play their favourite games, ride their bikes.
Ss. I’d like to see my pictures on the walls of our local art gallery. Painting is my hobby, please, look at my pictures. I think that they are very nice. Among my friends there are a lot of future painters, so, we will glad to have an art gallery for teenagers in our living place.
Ss. Recently I have started to learn about the history of my family. It is so interesting to find interesting facts about my grandparents. Why not to have a historical corner here.
T. Well done, now, students, we have a great map of our district. Let’s describe it.
Ss. In the middle of our district there is a nice garden. The historical corner is situated in the park. There is also a concert hall to the right of the park and to the left of it you can see our local art gallery.
Ss. Can I add, in front of the park there is a school, it’s next to the leisure centre and the concert hall. And the sport centre is to the right of school where I will do sport.
Ss. There is a cinema behind the park, it’s between the café and the restaurant. I suppose that out district is perfect!
